Claude Thibault, working hard for you in Abitibi–Témiscamingue
As the owner of Chez Oeufs restaurant, Claude Thibault contributes in a concrete way to local development, in addition to lending an ear as she pours your coffee.
Claude came away from the 2015 campaign even more determined to serve the population. She left her position as an export commissioner to work in various offices of the government in Ottawa, where she gained first-hand knowledge of federal politics.
Claude believes that the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region is ready to make a fundamental green shift, which would go hand in hand with responsible economic development. In her view, only a Liberal government will continue to work toward achieving this goal.
Determined to resolve the challenges of access to the cellular network and high-speed internet in the region, she would support innovation and the technological transition across all economic sectors so that the region may emerge as a leader in these industries.
Claude is proudly raising her two sons, Gustav and Léo, as a single mother. She is a strong supporter of women’s issues, particularly wage equity, which is an all-important issue in a region that is generating so much wealth.
